I visited Dr. Avinash Chougule’s clinic on 9th Feb for my 7-year-old daughter’s tooth decay. The doctor recommended a root canal and called a child dental specialist. The procedure was... read more done, and a silver cap was placed with the assurance that it would not come out. However, within a few months, the cap fell out. When we revisited, it was fixed again, but we were charged ₹200 for it. I don’t understand why we were charged when we were initially assured that the cap would not come out.Later, we visited again because one of my daughter’s teeth had fallen, but the new tooth had not come in even after 4–5 months. The doctor suggested a dental X-ray (OPG), which we got done on 19th Feb 2026 at Max Scan Seawoods for ₹600. After reviewing the X-ray, he advised that the tooth was stuck and suggested a procedure to cut the gums to help it come out, costing ₹1000. He also mentioned that if it still didn’t come out, surrounding teeth might need to be removed.We were not fully confident with this advice, so we sought a second opinion at Terna Dental Hospital (Pedodontology). The doctor there told us that this situation is normal and that sometimes teeth can take until the age of 9 to erupt. We decided to wait, and by May, the tooth came out naturally without any procedure.Based on this experience, I would not recommend this clinic for children’s dental treatment. It felt like unnecessary procedures were being suggested, and overall it gave an impression that the focus was more on making money rather than providing the right guidance for a child’s dental health.
